Hot Off The Press - Homeland season 4 episode 5

After episode four got the ball rolling, things were starting to heat up in more ways than one - no pun intended!

But seriously, bad jokes after a busy day aside, this was in many ways what were waiting for. Plans were tarnished as Saul went a step too far and got himself kidnapped and, Quinn and Fara's operation on tracking their target was forfeit at a mountainside checkpoint, all the while Carrie was taking things a bit too far with her relationship to Aayan.

The drama throughout remained generally impressive, with Quinn getting a great little line at the end. That said, newcomer Dennis was still lumped in a role that rarely ends well and with the exception to shedding a little more light on some of the character's relationships, much of it felt there for the sake of a little more drama. For example, Carrie's medicine, which is a plot point that was bound to catchup has become a bit of an easy target to raise the stakes.

That said, this was certainly a breeze to watch and enjoy as a few game changers were introduced. Steering clear of trailers, where the next episode will go remains a mystery as Saul's future doesn't look so bright and also how long Carrie's cover as a reporter while digging for secrets will last.
